How to Manage Templates in Go4WhatsUp

The Manage Template section in Go4WhatsUp is your central hub for creating, testing, and managing WhatsApp templates. These templates can be used for auto-replies, promotions, payments, and customer engagement, making communication faster, consistent, and professional.


Two Types of Templates

1. Templates That Need Meta Approval

  • Used for broadcasts, promotions, or updates

  • Require Meta review (up to 24 hours)

  • Can be sent anytime, even if the customer hasn’t opened a chat

  • Examples: “Your order has been shipped,” “Diwali Offer – Flat 20% OFF”

2. Templates That Don’t Need Meta Approval (Interactive)

  • Used only inside active chats

  • No approval required → send instantly

  • Perfect for chatbot replies, FAQs, or payment flows

  • Examples: “Choose [Track Order] [New Order] [Support],” “Pay Now”

  • Soft Update → Change variables only (no re-approval)

  • Hard Update → Change full content (Meta re-approval needed, ~24 hrs)

  • Update Status Button → Refresh approval status


  • Used in active sessions (Interactive)

  • Fields:

    • Header → None / Text / Media (image, video, doc)

    • Template Type → Interactive, Enquiry, Callback & Meeting, Meeting Time Slot, User Address, Payment (OTAP/Razorpay/Stripe)

    • Interaction Type → Button (max 3), List, URL, Product List, Flow, Send Location

    • Body → Manual or AI-generated

    • Footer → Optional note

Example: Chatbot asks, “How can we help?” with buttons: [Track Order] [Place New Order] [Talk to Support]


  • Used for mass campaigns (Marketing/Utility/Authentication)

  • Require Meta approval

  • Template Categories: Normal, Enquiry, Callback & Meeting, Product, Service, Carousel, Catalog, Coupon Code

  • Body → Manual or AI-generated

Special Rules:

  • Flow template inside Broadcast → must pick from existing Flow List

  • Catalog template → requires connected catalog + product selection

Example: Send “Summer Collection 2025” catalog to all customers


  • Interactive forms used inside Broadcast templates

  • Cannot be sent independently

  • Designer View: Drag & drop controls (Single Line, Long Text, Radio, Checkbox, File Upload, Dropdown)

  • Preview: See form before saving

1. Manual Entry

  • Type your message directly

  • Best for simple updates

2. AI-Generated (Smart Content Generator)

  • Works across all template types

  • Input Options:

    • Voice Input → Speak your campaign goal

    • Manual Input → Type your subject/idea

  • Choose Style: Normal / Poetic / Funny / Exotic

  • AI generates 4 variations for testing

  • AI Tab → Stores generated content for reuse

Example: Input “Announce Diwali Sale – Flat 20% OFF” → AI generates:

  • “Light up your Diwali with 20% off 🎇”

  • “This Diwali, save big on every smile 🌟”


Step 1: Create Auto-Response Template

  1. Go to Auto-Response → Create Template

  2. Add header, body (manual/AI), footer

  3. Choose interaction type (button/list/url/product/flow/location)

  4. Save → Test


Step 2: Create Broadcast Template

  1. Go to Broadcast → Create Template

  2. Add header, body (manual/AI), footer

  3. Pick category (Normal/Product/Service/Catalog/Flow/etc.)

    • If Flow → select an existing Flow

    • If Catalog → select products from catalog

  4. Submit for Meta approval

  5. Once approved → use in broadcasts


Step 3: Create Flow

  1. Go to Flow List → Create Flow

  2. Build using Designer View (drag & drop controls)

  3. Save + Preview

  4. Attach Flow in a Broadcast template

  • Use Marketing Templates → Offers, promotions, reminders

  • Use Utility Templates → Transactional updates (order shipped, payment received)

  • Use Interactive Templates → Real-time chats or chatbots

  • Always Test Templates before large broadcasts

  • Keep text short and clear → WhatsApp may reject unclear or overly promotional wording
